Swindon New Eastern Villages

The main line of the Wilts & Berks Canal follows a diversion route around Swindon as shown on this map :

The proposed alignment of the canal  is shown  in relation to  the 'village islands' which will be the new development area for Swindon.

The planning of the NEV continues and the canal corridor will form part of the proposed Green Infrastructure
